The garden behind the shop
We hand you the soil. You do the planting.
SEEDLOAM makes illustrated stories and quiet tools for people who work a 9-to-5 and still feel something in them asking to grow. No hustle. No cohort. No one shouting at you to wake up at five. Just a small garden world, five faceless creatures who carry the same tiredness you do, and a way of looking at your week that gives the seed a little light.
The world we write from · the Grey Season
In our world, the working week is weather: an ever-grey season that never quite storms and never quite clears, and slowly lulls the seed inside a person to sleep. Nobody in these stories quits. They plant through the grey. They find the sunlit gap, the ninety minutes the week forgot to take, and they grow a small plot there. Far off, other gardens glow: proof that other people are doing the same quiet thing.
The gardener walks through every story. They never rescue anyone. They hand you a seed, tell you the soil is yours, and step back.
Five ways a week closes around a person
The five loop-selves.
They are faceless on purpose. Nobody here is broken: every loop is a strength that grew a little crooked in the grey. Each story shows the turn back.

The Drift
A wide sail, and no banks. The hours slip and the day is gone before it is chosen. The turn is one named anchor.
“Water doesn't lose its way. It just hasn't found its banks yet.”

The Strain
A bigger engine than most, pointed at everything at once, until the wall becomes a habit. The turn is aiming at one thing.
“The limit you set for yourself is taller than the mountain itself.”

The Wait
An eye that can see the finished thing, and a season that never feels right enough to start. The turn is letting a broken first draft exist.
“Perfect is the most beautiful excuse for standing still.”

The Hollow
Every ladder climbed beautifully, none of them yours. Full days, empty evenings. The turn is building one ladder of your own.
“Being busy isn't being alive. Direction is.”

The Burst
Real fire, spent in one night, then weeks of dark. The turn is a hearth: a small steady rhythm the flame can live in.
“Fire needs a hearth to hold its heat, not more fuel.”

"There is no standard plant."
No standard plant. We do not sell one right way to live. Every species is beautiful in its own shape.
Nobody is behind. Some seeds simply wait for a quieter season to open.
Ninety minutes, not a whole life. The week already has a sunlit gap; the garden fits inside it.
